Lexus


Lexus LFA is a two seated SUPER car from the japanese car manufacturer LEXUS which was founded by Toyota.
This is the second model in the "F" line of performance vehicles from lexus after Lexus IS-F, there were three concept versions that have been shown, each debuted at "NORTH AMERICAN AUTO SHOW" with  LF-A designation which was made as a part of LF concept series at that time. afterwards when the development started in early 2000s on LEXUS, the first LF_A concept in 2005 and of 2007 followed by the second LEXUS LF-A which was a roadster model which premiered in 2008. for this production model trademarked LFA was shown at TOKYO MOTOR SHOW in October of 2009.


Akio Toyoda the CEO of (Parent Company) can be said and actually TOYOTA  thought of LFA as a flagship of this founded brand LEXUS globally.


The Lexus LFA features the even firing V10 engine with a carbon fiber reincforced polymer (CFRP)  body. CFRP materials account for 65 percent  of LFA`s body composition by mass. The LFA was sent to production in late 2010 with over all price of nearly  US$375,000.
Than a circuit tuned variant was introduced in 2012 with price of  US$445,000 which made it the one of the most expensive japanese road cars ever built, his models production was ended in December 2012 with 500 models produced.


2000-2004

The LEXUS LFA was the result of 9 years research and innovation.

It was started in 2000 first. in the February on 2000 the LF-A got into development time as a SUPERCAR project codenamed  as P280 and was intended showcase the performance capabilities of TOYOTA and its LEXUS line up. Their first prototype was finished during june of 2003. Prototypes of lexus LFA were spotted undergoing at regular test at Nurburgring. the famous motorsport track in Nurburg.

2005-2006

In January of 2005, the first Lexus LF-A concept premiered at the NORTH AMERICAN INTERNATIONAL AUTO SHOW in Detroit. Michigan as design study but there was no plans for production. The first LF-A concept had 4,399 mm length and 13 cm shorter than the Porsche 911 Turbo while the wheel base was of 2,581 mm. this concept was nearly 1,219 mm in height and had the width of 1.859 mm. Some of the reporters said that the LFA acronym is LEXUS FUTURE ADVANCE and this was dismissed their Chief Engineer TANAHASHI. The first LFA concept featured  a glass roof  and side cameras were mounted in the side mirrors ( thats amazing) . and apart from this twin rear radiators were installed  behind the rear wheels and were visible to the large screens. The rear bumper of the concept of this LFA had three exhaust in an inverted shaped triangle formation. the wheels were given shape of turbines  and the air-scoops were placed on the C-pillars.
Reports in 2006 were suggesting that the LF-A concept had been granted the to get into the production house. but however these reports were not officially confirmed.

The Second LEXUS LF-A concept


2007-2008

By following the last LF-A concept the development time was lengthened by switch from an aluminum frame to a carbon fiber tub. the result of engineering effort aimed at improving the LFA power to weight ratio and this concept was reported to draw for engineering resources from TOYOTA`s Formula One Team, As in January of 2007 the restlyed LF-A concept car premiered along side the first production F Line Vehicles , The IS-F sports Sedan and the second LF-A concept features the more aerodynamic exterior.



In  January of 2008 the Lexus production came with the LEXUS LF-A roadster version of the 2 seated supercar  and also known as LF-AR.



This concept`s specifications were told to be an engine with V10 under 5.0 L with373kW which is 500HP (Horse Power).and making a top speed of 320km/h and (200 mph)


2009

On August of 2009 TOYOTA`s new CEO Mr. Akio Toyoda publicly confirmed the production of the LEXUS LF-A in his speech words for conference held the CENTER OF AUTOMOTIVE RESEARCH. the production vehicles were about to carry a V10 engine in competition with Lamborghini Gallardo , Ferrari F430 , The Porsche 911, Chevrolet Corvette C6 ZR1.
In September 2009 the reports in japanese automotive magazines pointed that the 4.8 L V10 engine for Lexus LF-A `d carry 1LR  designation.
The production announcement for this LFA SUPERCAR  marked the 20th anniversary of the launch of LEXUS.
